Competition issues in the business use of artificial intelligence and other digital technologies
In May 2022, the Pázmány Péter Catholic University’s Competition Law Research Centre held a workshop, attended by our co-founder Ottó Werschitz, alongside eminent experts in the field of competition law and consumer protection. The topics were the following: digital market regulation, new directions in competition law for consumer protection in online markets and ethical/legal aspects of applied behavioural sciences, in particular user experience design.
To discuss and talk through these, it was of paramount importance to create a credible picture of AI, as well as to understand the business implications and application limitations and potential threats of AI, which Otto spoke to the participants about.
The event was reported in detail by jogaszvilag.hu (in Hungarian)
Ottó’s presentation is also available online in English.
